Combine any two of the following services and save 30%

 1.  Motorvac Carbon Treatment
Performed to clean out dirty injector and remove harmful carbon deposits from inside your engine.
This amazing technology restores performance, increases fuel economy, improves cold starts,
smoothes rough idle, cleans injector, and removes carbon from combustion chamber & oxygen sensor.
regular value $ 189.99 (most cars)
(This service should be performed every 60-80,000 km.  The cost of  replacing 6 injectors on a V6
engine is often $2,200.00)

2.  Air Conditioning  Evacuate & Recharge
Identifies the contents of
the system; extracts the contaminated refrigerant; places the system in a deep vacuum to boil off harmful moisture; refills with virgin refrigerant and adds any necessary oil; and performance tests the system.
regular value $188.48 (most cars)

3. Coolant Flush Removes harmful sludge & scale that coats and restricts internal water passageways, and neutralizes harmful acids that build up inside today’s cooling systems. (resulting in expensive breakdowns)
regular value $127.74) (most cars)
This service should be performed every 40,000 km or every 2 years.  If your vehicle contains Long Life Coolant, this service is due every 5 years. Extra charges for antifreeze, chemicals, and additional Labour apply.

4. Brake Fluid Flush
Removes harmful water that rusts your hydraulic components and anti-lock brake valves and selenoids.  Brake fluid is hydroscopic; it absorbs up to 10% of its volume in water.  Once the absorption limit is reached, the water starts rusting components and the reduced boiling point of the brake fluid can result in brake fade.
This service should be performed every 2 years and is critical for vehicles with anti-lock brakes.
regular value $108.78 (most cars)

5.  Power Steering Fluid Flush  Removes contaminants from power steering fluid that cause premature  power steering pump and rack wear. This service should be performed every 80,000 - 120,000 kilometers on most vehicles (25,000 kilometers on ford vehicles), Not applicable to volkswagon and Audi vehicles.
regular value $141.36  (most cars)

6. Brake Pad & Caliper Slider Service
This service removes rust from metal-to-metal contact brake components and provides critical lubrication necessary for proper brake operation, resulting in extended brake pad & rotor life. Includes removal of brake pads and caliper sliders, buffing rust and corrosion from metal-to-metal contact surfaces, and application of lubricant during reassembly.
regular value $106.95   (most cars)
*
7. Tire Rotation and Balance Prolongs tire life and keeps your car rolling smoothly. Recommended every 10,000 kilometers
regular value $85.56  (most cars)

The leading cause of traffic accidents is brake failure. WOW! And brake failure is nearly always preventable. Stop worrying about potential failures and enjoy peace of mind. Jim Dickinson Auto Tech is a brake specialist. Come in for a brake inspection. We will check:

  • Perform a comprehensive road test checking for brake lead, pull, pulsation or shuddering at highway speeds to ensure they are stopping your vehicle properly.
  • Pads and shoes for wear
  • Drums and rotors for wear
  • Wheel cylinders and calipers for leaks
  • Hydraulic lines and hoses for leaks and kinks
  • Fluid in the master cylinder for level and condition.

We can also fabricate and install replacement steel brake line sections or complete systems if they are severely corroded or rusted through and have started leaking.  If you have a leak in your brake system have your vehicle towed in for service as it is no longer capable of stopping properly.
We recommend servicing rear drum brake assemblies every 10,000 kilometers or annually.  Remove dust, lubricate backing plates and adjust shoes to drum clearance and check parking brake performance.  Your disc brake assemblies should be disassembled every 30,000 kilometers or 18 months to remove rust and corrosion from brake pads and guides and lubricate slide assemblies.  If equipped service miniature rear brake shoe assemblies at the same time.  This timely service will prevent brake pads from sticking in their guides and prematurely wearing out and warping the rotors resulting in expensive repairs.  Fuel economy is reduced with dragging brakes.  Your brake fluid should be flushed out every 2 years to prevent moisture buildup that lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid and rusts components internally.  We routinely bleed brake components during every reline to remove harmful moisture.

Checking your brake system regularly will often save you in the long run. Replacing worn pads before they damage the disks or drums is a modest cost. If you wait until your car is sounding like a streetcar, you will likely have more extensive repairs and a higher cost.

If any work is necessary, we will give you a choice of parts. A better grade of materials (pads for example) may be one of the best bargains around. They will last longer and perform better then standard grades. You are in control. Both here at Jim Dickinson Auto Tech and on the road when the need arises.

I was seriously thinking of giving up on cars altogether with services & costs involved.  Dealership services are not the best and had enough of paying three times more for fair or bad services.  Your company have changed all that.  I now feel so much more positive about car maintenance since I started bringing my car to you.  I felt so negative whenever I had to bring my car in, in the past.  You’ve changed all that!

SERVICE, GREAT SERVICE! & REASONABLE PRICES!  You take the time to explain what is needed and why it is needed.  Your mechanic took the time to show me how the brakes worked… & what they looked like.  I must admit I was surprised when he got the book from under the counter to show me a picture of brakes.  I felt like “Wow, that’s service you don’t get anywhere else.”

Thanks for your fabulous work!  You are great people.. Keep up the good work!
